Ettus's high-throughput "Gen-3" USRP — dual RF channels, two
daughterboard slots, two SFP+ 10 GbE host links, a Kintex-7 410T
FPGA, and 200 MS/s per channel. This is the highest-bandwidth USRP
hosted in COSMOS / ORBIT.

Most X310s in the grid carry an SBX120 (400 MHz – 4.4 GHz,
120 MHz BW) on the A side and a CBX120 (1.2 GHz – 6 GHz, 120 MHz BW)
on the B side. The MIMO mini-racks (SB2) and selected sandboxes use
SBX (40 MHz BW) for cost reasons.
X310s attach to a 10 GbE NIC on the Gen-4 node via a SFP+ direct-attach
copper cable for the primary radio link. The second SFP+ port is wired
via fiber to the aggregate switch on a subset of nodes (used for
distributed-MIMO / cross-node coherent capture).

UHD ships several X310 FPGA images (XG, HG, RFNOC_*). The default
on COSMOS / ORBIT nodes is XG (dual-10 GbE). Use uhd_image_loader
to switch images; the FPGA bitstreams live in /usr/share/uhd/images/.
X310s are deployed in the grid corners + on the SB2
MIMO mini-rack, on COSMOS rooftops (paired with N310s
and 2974s), and in sandboxes
